Welcome to Plug in Britain

We are a non profit making organisation, set up to promote the development and use of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. We provide a forum that brings together all stakeholders to facilitate this initiative.

We believe that for environmental and security reasons, Britain must move away from vehicles solely powered by an internal combustion engine.

Our aim is to kick start this process by:

raising public awareness of the benefits of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. We will also support the use of hybrid vehicles as a stepping stone to full plug-in hybrids;

helping to create a demand, thereby encouraging the development of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle technology;

highlighting the need for an infrastructure to support the adoption of plug-in vehicles, in particular the provision of on street charging points.
